Getting started
Can I download Housenator yet?
Housenator is preparing for its App Store launch. There is no public download available from this website yet. We will add the official App Store link when the app is released.
What does Housenator help me track?
Everyday home-care tasks, such as replacing air and water filters, caring for plants, or refreshing cat litter. Put an item in its room and set your own reminder interval. Timers are reminders you configure, not sensors that measure an item's condition.
How do I create my first room?
In the app, add a room from Home, choose its purpose, and give it a name. Open the room and use Add item to create a reminder. You can switch between Map and List views. Furniture helps you organize the layout and does not use timers.
What is Demo mode?
Demo lets you explore example rooms and timers without creating an account. It is for trying the interface, not a substitute for a real account or a backup of your home information.
Timers & notifications
Why didn't I receive a reminder?
Check that the item has an enabled timer with a future due time. On your iPhone, open Settings, then Notifications, then Housenator and allow notifications. Also review Focus, Scheduled Summary, and Lock Screen settings. Time Sensitive notifications must be allowed in the relevant iPhone settings.
iOS controls how and when notifications appear. Alerts are not guaranteed to stay on the Lock Screen, and Housenator should not be used for emergencies or safety-critical maintenance.
How do I change or restart a timer?
Open the item's Edit screen to change its timer using days, hours, and minutes. After completing the care task, use Reset to start a new cycle. You can also check due and overdue items from Home.
Why can't I move an item?
Enter the room's edit mode and unlock the category you want to adjust. Items and Furniture are edited separately so you don't accidentally move the wrong thing. Lock the layout again when you're finished.
Your account
How will subscriptions be billed?
Paid plans, when available at launch, will be purchased in the iOS app through the App Store. The price, period, and renewal terms will be shown before you confirm. This website does not accept card details or subscription payments.
For an active Apple subscription, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Housenator account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.
How can I delete my account or request my data?
In the app, open Home, Account, then Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. You may need to sign in again to verify your identity. Export & Backup is also available in Account.
If you cannot access the app, email info@housenator.com with the subject “Housenator privacy request.” We may need to verify that the account belongs to you. Do not include your password.
Where can I report a security concern?
Email info@housenator.com with the subject “Housenator security report.” Describe the issue without accessing other people's accounts or sharing private user data.
